December 4 Jesus—Sent to Save Sinners Advent Devotion

I was feeling like an awful example to you when I suddenly remembered a very important thing.........God's grace!!! You see, here I am giving you simple advent devotions for each night until Christmas, and we have missed our first three nights of them! Well, sort of...

In addition to studying the Revolutionary War, modifiers for Language Arts, and cell parts with Mary lately ☺...

Our family attended a Christmas Violin concert (which in itself was quite worshipful and a wonderful advent time for our family!!! I wrote yesterday about that & played a 30 sec clip, can hear it here. If your family can go to a Christ-centered event, by all means feel free to skip devotions or read 2 scriptures the next night!!)...

There's more! I went to our church's women's event (wonderful advent devotion by young wife and mom Rachel M.!), our fantastic math Braille tutor came over to help Mary, my phone fell in chocolate pudding as in submerged, a wreath with a heavy  bronze cross fell on my head (more like my face! I'm not kidding), we have painters here painting every window,  we packed and left to go out of town for 2 days (have not unpacked yet! yikes!), and someone hacked into my credit card and has begun their holiday shopping evidently! (don't worry I cancelled it!)

But, we can always begin today, right? I sure hope to!

Tonight's devotion:  Jesus—Sent to Save Sinners. Read Isaiah 59:2  Sing “Come Thou Long Expected Jesus.” Kids can put a black heart on the tree to stand for sin, or wrong, in our lives. Thank Jesus for coming to earth to take away our sin.

"But your iniquities have separated
    you from your God;
your sins have hidden his face from you,
    so that he will not hear."
~Isaiah 59:2
