Mary Mikels Launches Blind Notes Music Singing & Website

Hello Everyone! I have exciting news about my blind daughter, Mary. She is singing full-time now and launched her website "Blind Notes Music," this week at  https://blindnotesmusic.com

For the first time at 24 years of age, Mary is on social media! You can find her on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube at blindnotesmusic. Thank you for following the very beginning of her career!

Mary is now booking dates to sing concerts for private or public events and is available for any size group (I am her traveling companion, and am available at no fee since I am already there should you like me to share a few minutes about her birth and God's faithfulness). Mary's fee is based on your unique budget needs of your group, and no group is too small.

Mary sings Christian worship music, classical music blended with Broadway tunes, patriotic, opera and she is adding more daily to her song selections (today she is learning "The Prayer," and my ears are loving it).

You can reach Mary directly by emailing blindnotesmusic(at)gmail(dot)com to check dates for your group. You can also sign up for her email subscription on her site to find out where she will be singing publicly and news.

You can read a little bit about her here, and thanks for following her and sharing,

Time Management Talks (Part 1 & 2 Audio Links)

Hello Everyone & Happy New Year! You may be taking some time off now to visit with family and friends. We are doing just that, but I wanted to jump online to give you these links below on Time Management from a church where I spoke a couple years ago. These two talks are very helpful at the beginning of a New Year. So Happy New Year to all, and I hope these talks help to jump start your new year, if you desire to prioritize.

I always begin the talk with Psalm 90:10-12:

Our days may come to seventy years,
    or eighty, if our strength endures;
yet the best of them are but trouble and sorrow,
for they quickly pass, and we fly away ...
Teach us to number our days,
that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
Colonial Baptist Church of Cary, North Carolina advertised the seminar so well.
Not only did they put it on their website,
but they had it in a picture frame in the women's restrooms!

After the time management seminar, I did a book signing.
All the women just had time to talk!  Look how creatively the tables were decorated!
With clocks and clock cookies for all!
Time Managment Part 1: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5bwvuvzf92mqkgs/DV-2014-01-04-115111.m4a You may want to forward through the first 4 minutes or so as I got choked up before we had barely started over the work God has done in my life in this area. When I looked up, many were crying with me!

In Part One, I give principles for good time management from a Christian perspective—taken from the busiest week in all of history, the week of Creation. I include in the talk my own personal applications. (49 minutes)

Time Managment Part 2: https://www.dropbox.com/s/clvghdixzs7loly/DV-2014-01-04-112150.m4a
Part two covers specific questions to help you focus on what's important in six life areas:
            • Personal Needs
            • Family and Friend Relationships
            • Household and Possessions
            • Church and Community
            • Business and Career
            • Civic and Political Process
 (24 minutes)
