Replacing Worry, Anxiety & Fear with Prayer & Praise
Get your pen and paper out because Emily is a fantastic Bible study teacher (she is not only my good friend, but our Women's Bible Study Leader at our Morning Glories Bible study at our church). This is an audio only recording; please excuse the sound quality. I'm just happy you can hear the words! May God have a word for you as you listen to His message through Emily.
Today in Part 1, Emily emphasized the following faith-building points:
- Many things are understandable (worry), but not excusable
- Anxious comes from Greek word that means to strangle
- Don't Worry, Prepare by His Word, Pray Continually, Praise & Thank Him in Everything
- Rejoice & thank Him for even the little things
- The less we pray, the more we worry
- The more we pray, the less we worry
- Choose with your will not your feelings to rejoice
- Result of praying and thanking is peace
- God's will is what we would always choose if we knew what God knew
- "A decision to worry is a decision to refuse to trust Jesus' best" (J. MacDonald)
- Everything must pass through His sovereign hands first to reach us for our ultimate blessing
- He will never leave us or forsake us
We can all come to this same Lord, as we seek Him and read His Word! Doesn't Emily inspire us to turn our problems into petitions? Let's go on trusting in our living Lord who sees us and knows our pain in the storm!
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." -Philippians 4:6-7
Walk by Faith,
This is such a great reminder to stay in the Word, to pray, and to praise the Almighty! Emily's testimony is beautiful! Thank you, dear Juana :) You are beautiful, too!!!
