Jeremy Taylor on Obeying Without Interruption

Frequently, people ask me what it is that I write and speak about. Everything I write and speak about can be summed up in two words in a hymn I sang as a child: trust and obey. How well I remember singing:

"Trust and obey, for there's no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey."
(John Sammis)

"If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching.
My Father will love him, and we will come to him
and make our home with him."
-John 14:23

"Lord, do Thou turn me all into love,
and all my love into obedience
and let my obedience be
without interruption."
-Jeremy Taylor
