Let's be in prayer {even a "mere upward glance" as Francis de Sales says, to offer this to God as you read now!} for our leaders as you may have elections in your state, too. We're urged to pray for our leaders 1 Timothy 2:1-2:
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

Walk by faith,
Please pray for me as tonight (Tuesday, May 6) I am speaking for the Colonial Baptist Church (Cary, NC) Moms Mentoring Fellowship Dinner. Pray the Holy Spirit would speak through me to each woman's need there, & I will not say what He does not want me to, and I will say the words He does want me to. What can I pray for you?
ReplyDeleteSorry I am a day late!
DeleteFather we thank You that Juana had an opportunity to speak at the Mom's Dinner last night. We know that the HS spoke into each woman what each needed to hear. Thank you Abba Daddy!
Jana, thank you for thanking the Lord for the opportunity last night. I did some things differently because I felt the Holy Spirit was leading me a certain way. I had to leave a couple places open ended (hard for mean bc I wanted to "know" what I was doing), to see what He would show me to do (it concerned using music during the talk.) Then this morning I was reading Pastor Jim Cymbala's book, and it said, "As we open up our church meetings to God's power, they will not always follow a predetermined schedule. Who can outline what God might have in mind?" It was SUCH an encouragement to me, for that is exactly what had just happened to me last night, & I had not ever read this before today!
