A Blog Break for Christmas, Marriage Post Pin Board & Wednesday's LinkUp Party!

Hi Everyone! The countdown is on for Christmas! {plus my son, John, turned 23 yesterday, my other son, Alex, turns 21 on Sunday, My Mom has a birthday on December 22, beloved Elisabeth Elliot turns 88 on December 21!} Phew! That's a lot of birthdays of people we love! But most of all it is the wonderful season of the celebration of Jesus's birth!

From our family to your family, we'd love to say Merry Christmas 2014 to you!
Terry, Juana, John, Mary, Blair, and Alex

{Come back here later this week to see our Christmas Card here}

You can't see the back but it says:
Isaiah 9:6

For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
    Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
    Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Merry Christmas!

I will be taking a blog break for a few weeks to focus on family and Christmas and cooking!
If you would like to have help in reading a scripture each day to focus on keeping Jesus the center of the celebration, you may want to see these simple daily advent devotions I posted here.

For all you bloggers that are on my Choosing Him All Over Again Book blogger launch team for my first book coming out January 5 on faith and marriage, keep those great marriage posts coming in and posting them on our Group Pinterest Board >>HERE<<, and on our Choosing Him Marriage Blog tour >>HERE<<. If you're a blogger and want to join our team, just email me at juana(at)juanamikels(dot)com and you can read about how to be on the team just for bloggers >>HERE<<.

Thank you to the Choosing Him Blogger Launch Team in advance for your posts on your blogs and social media in January. I appreciate each one of you for spreading the word on my first boo!

Even though we are taking a blog break for a few weeks, I'm never too busy to pray for you in the mornings. Just leave your request in the comments, and we will leave the LinkUp and comments open throughout the entire month of December.
Let me know what I can be praying for you.

Merry Christmas! Love, Juana

  1. Please pray that I will be less independent and assertive {which starts an easy argument when I am obnoxiously making a point because I think I am right} and that I will give up my right to myself, deny myself, dropping the matter before a dispute & disharmony breaks out. This happened yesterday :-( What can I pray for you or your loved ones?

    1. Father, we Thank You for today, and for Juana. We ALL need this prayer for ourselves, so please instill more of YOU and YOUR character in us and less of ourselves. Thank You that You alone are our refuge. In the Precious Name of Your Son, Jesus, Amen.

  2. Dear Juana, please pray that our tax lawyer will know what to do about our tax problem. We pay the correct taxes but the examiner wants us to pay a huge amount in taxes. A lot of people think its because we do not want to give him any bribe money :^( Praying for you, that you will be calm, and peaceful. Here's St. Teresa de Avila's prayer: Let nothing disturb you,
Let nothing frighten you, All things are passing away: God never changes. Patience obtains all things.
Whoever has God lacks nothing; God alone suffices.
    God bless you! patsy
