Elisabeth Elliot Back on Radio Starting April 14 & Wednesday's Prayer Girls & LinkUp Party!

I have some exciting news regarding Elisabeth Elliot! Beginning next Monday, April 14, you will be able to hear Elisabeth's voice on Gateway to Joy each weekday from her taped radio programs! Wooo-hooooo!!!! {confetti} Her daughter and my friend, Valerie Shepard called me to tell me that they will be launched on the Bible Broadcasting Network (BBN) starting next Monday!!! Read Valerie's blog announcement here

You can also check the BBN site on April 14, by clicking here, then look in the 11:15 A.M. time slot.  I am personally thrilled to be able to hear her Biblical teaching again for 15 minutes, 5 days a week on BBN! Stop reading Juana Mikels and start listening to Elisabeth Elliot!

  1. I'm so excited about Elisabeth Elliot's voice being back on radio this month! Pray that women all over the world will come to Christ and grow in Christ through her Biblical teaching. I can't wait. I am going to walk and listen to her M-F each week {that's my goal!} What can I pray for you?

  2. Hi Juana! That news is fantastic! I just pulled out my E.E.. book stack today, and then saw your post. I am so grateful that you have shared and I look forward to hearing her voice again... the most inspiring speaker I have ever heard. I still have the notes from when she spoke at my (former) church in 1997. Please pray deliverance for my daughter. Thank you so much. In His Grace, Dawn

  3. Thanks for sharing this Juana! I'm going to look into it. I'm reading one of her books right now, a bio of Amy Carmichael, and it's really good. Excited to listen to her speak! I'll keep the program in my prayers, that it reaches women who need Jesus. : )

    1. I have that book, A Chance to Die, and have never read it! You have reminded me that I need to! Blessings to you, Cathy. I recently read both of Brother Yun's books based on your fine recommendation and it lead to repentance and clarity for me! Thank you. Your blog on great books is a blessing and I am so honored that you faithfully post your writings on the Wed link up!

  4. Need prayer this week please. I have been dealing with various symptoms, sore tongue, cracks in the corners of my mouth that will not heal, restless legs, for the last 6 months or so. The restless legs have led to many sleepless nights. Which is not good as it leads to a grumpy me. I have tried to find an explanation from the toothpaste, to maybe a vitamin deficiency to I don't know what. Last week a Dr friend mentioned it sounded like a possible iron deficiency and after reading more it fit perfectly. Have not had any blood work to verify, but started taking iron supplements last week. Please pray for quick healing.
Also for a possible job move for hubby, for ALL details, down to the smallest one to be worked out if it is according to His purpose. It may mean me going back to work for a few years which is certainly not my desire. I finally feel that I am using my gifts to serve others, and now it is not just about me. There are meals for others, babysitting a friends little boy on Tuesday afternoons every week and helping with both her boys when school is out, and a possibility of keeping my own Grand-daughter one day a week this Fall.

    1. Hi dear Jana! Let's pray for this needs! Loving Lord, You know our needs before we even ask. I ask Lord that you guide Jana in her work and whether she should go back into a job outside the home. We lift up her husband's possible job change. Lord, we ask that you heal each little thing that ails Jana physically and that she will totally depend on You in this suffering as she also seeks to identify it toward finding a solution. It is in Your powerful and great Name we pray, Amen.

  6. This is wonderful!! I found your blog because I was Googling Elisabeth Elliot. I have long wanted my girls to have Elisabeth as a "not personally knowing" mentor as she has been to me! I'm currently reading her book Discipline! Speaking of...I've recently listened to both of your talks on time management and really enjoyed and benefited from them- especially the planning the week in the "glow of Sunday." However, I'm such a visual person, I'm finding it hard to implement without seeing the planner pages you reference. Since Gregg Harris doesn't sell his planner any more, do you have a Power Point slidedeck or Word doc that shows the various parts of the planner, so I can attempt to create my own. Of course even better would be to hear you in person. I live just up the road in Durham, so I'm hoping you'll speak on this again close by? Thank you for your continued encouragement!

    1. Hi Tonya! So neat that you're so close by. If you follow my blog, or keep checking my speaking tab, I will put down if I am speaking on that. I think that's the best way. I meet Friday with Colonial Baptist Church in Cary, & they will pick their topic as I will be speaking there next month. Send me a blank doc to juana(at)juanamikels(dot)com & I will take some pics of my time management docs & email them to you!
