Operation Christmas Child with Uncle Si {YouTube}

I think you'll like this video on Operation Christmas Child with Uncle Si from the Duck Dynasty television series!

After our church aired it last week, we picked up an empty box and enjoyed filling it for a little girl somewhere in the world (you can track your box to see what country it went to, as well as include a note inside. Last year Mary wrote a note in Braille, and I put the words below the raised dots with a picture of our family).

I think it took me all of ten minutes to find the little girl items at the dollar store, and five minutes to put everything in the box.

To find out more about how you can pack a shoebox for Operation Christmas Child by November 25, click the Samaritan's Purse website here.

Just a quick word to update you on my hubby's shoulder surgery last Friday. He is doing great, little by little. The sweetest thing occurred the night before his surgery. My husband is never even sick, and was nervous about the surgery.

His good friends came over the night before, and they cooked oysters outside. Afterward, they all gathered in an embrace, and prayed for and over Terry. It was beautiful to see these big, masculine men who love Jesus humbling themselves and praying for my husband! So sweet! Like the people in the Bible who brought their friend in on a mat to see Jesus! How needful and beautiful is that?

As always, I'd love to connect with you wherever you most like on: FacebookTwitterInstagramPinterest, Youtube or Google+You may follow my blog here or on Bloglovin'.
