The 4th of July Story & Wednesday's Prayer Girls & Link-Up Party!

It's Wednesday and I want to give you a chance to leave a nonconfidential prayer request in the comment section below, and it's blog hop day!

If you're a Christian blogger, please link up with one of your wholesome posts on your passions! Because some bloggers may be on vacation, I'm extending last week's link up, but feel free to post another blog link!

For those of you that live in America, Happy 4th of July tomorrow! I hope to post some pictures tomorrow at the small town parade where we are! For those of you close to a library who have young children, you may want to read Alice Dalgliesh's great short book on the 4th of July!

After the Declaration of Independence was read out in the yard of the State House in Philadelphia (later called Independence Hall!), all the people cheered and the Liberty Bell rang out! All the bells in the city kept ringing out and they rang out all day until that night!

Did you know that the Liberty Bell has Leviticus 25:10 inscribed on it?

"Proclaim liberty throughout all the land, Unto all the inhabitants thereof!"

Let's praise God that we live in a country where we can openly worship the Lord God! Let's praise Him that countries like Albania, that were once closed to Christian literature in their country not too many years ago, are now open! Let's pray today for the underground church in closed countries, who do not live in freedom to worship our Creator God in freedom.

Walk by Faith,

  5. Juana...please keep my daughter and her husband in prayer. He is looking for a new job. They live in the Atlanta area with their little girl (my grandchild) and my heart aches knowing that they may be having to move away out of state because of a new job location. My heart's desire is for them to have the job that God wants them to have and to be close enough to my precious granddaughter like I've been since she was born 2 1/2 yrs. ago. As you can tell, my heart is heavy right now. However; I know that the Lord will do all things right by them and He knows what is best and where they need to be. Please keep them in your prayers as the job search begins for my son-in-law. I pray for wisdom as well for them.

    1. Hi Sheila & Happy 4th of July weekend! I so feel your mixed feelings over your daughter & her family possibly moving. I'm not there yet, (as my oldest is 24 & no one is married yet) but already sympathize with you. Let's pray. Heavenly Father, When Jesus taught the disciples to pray, he included that we ask you for our daily bread. For Sheila, her daily bread includes her heart over the possibly moving further away of her daughter's family. Lord, you will be done. May her son-in-law find the job of your choosing, and will you give all the added grace needed if the miles take them further away from Sheila? Oh, Lord, we need you every hour! Amen.
