Tracy's timing was perfect for her invitation, because as you are reading this, I'm visiting with my sister, Susan, at the coast.
Mary is at a camp for the blind this week (thank you for your prayers for her—all the counselors are blind college students and she was nervous herself about being able to attend to her personal needs. I separated her clothes into ziplock bags for each day, but she is still nervous about finding the ladies room, etc!) Two of her favorite people in the world leave for a big trip today to Scotland & Wales! Elisabeth Elliot and her husband, Lars! Pray for them, too, as she is 86! (see her site here)

ReplyDeleteI pray for Mary--that she would easily find all she needs and come home with a new confidence.
I heard that Elisabeth Elliot (one of my heroines of the faith) was no longer traveling because she has dementia. But when I just looked at her site, I didn't see anything about that. Was that a false rumor?

Thank you, Gail, for praying for Mary. She was able to find where everything was, & she did great! She had so much fun she didn't want it to be over quite yet & she did come back more confident!!! Yes, Elisabeth does have dementia & no longer is able to speak/travel as she use to do. She does however, travel with her husband & caregiver. Her life continues to shout that in acceptance lies peace as her countenance is one of total acceptance.
