Wednesday's Prayer Girls & Link-up Party!

Welcome to Wednesday prayer on my blog and the Blog Link-up Party! (If you are looking for Part 2 of "Being Faithful in the Little Things," that will post next time. Part one is here.) When you post your prayer or blog below, remember you don't have to leave a prayer to leave your blog post, and vice versa. You can do one or the other, or both!

"True, whole prayer is nothing but love." ~St. Augustine

It's my privilege to pray over each prayer; I set aside time to pray for each request that comes in. Thank you also for praying for one another! Don't forget to update us if you left a request last week or the week before, and want to have us continue in prayer on that. We all need prayer! To share yours, just jump to the comment section below the thumbnail pictures at the end of this post.

Don't let your lack of prayer discourage you from praying! You can start anew right now by praying as you leave yours below in the comments!

"Pray as you can, not as you can't." ~Dom Chapman

  2. Please pray for the Stepmom Retreat that is planned for Sept. This is the first of it's kind and please pray we feel God's presence as we work out the details. Pray that God will bring women who are in need of help, healing and hope and connecting in person with others together. Pray that He would lift up a worship leader for Sunday service. Pray that God would weave the details together so that this weekend would bring blessings and healing to the women who attend and would transfer also to their marriage and their children/stepchildren. Please pray that those who are organizing (Laura, Amy, Gayla, Brenda, Heather, Carrie) would feel God's peace and protection through the planning process. Thank you. In His Grip, Heather

    1. How exciting Heather! Loving Lord, today I lift up to you the Stepmom Retreat that these 6 women who love You are planning. Lord, their heart's desire is to bring hope and encouragment to women in the unique role of stepmom. Lord, we know that you have a plan for the stepmom to walk in Your ways. Your very own son, had a stepdad, Joseph! Guide these ladies Lord, and help them to know your peace every step of the way, and for them to locate the worship leader. Amen.

    1. Hi Susan, I am so glad you wrote, and I hope you come back to join us each Wednesday for prayer. It's my joy to pray over you right now, as I know other readers are doing as they read your request. Lord God, how wonderful that Susan has a time set with a new doctor. Guide him Lord to be able to help Susan in just the way that will meet her unique need. Lord, we know that You are the great physician. Help Susan with the trouble she has in her arms, feet and lower back. Help her as she packs up bit by bit. Amen.

  4. Prayers for safe travel for FIL Memorial Service. Kids old youth pastor is not able to come to do the service or come see the boys. We are all disappointed. Also prayers that I will keep my tongue in check and that I will not have a "better-than-you" attitude towards anyone. So thankful to have received my book, looking forward to reading it, maybe it will inspire another long overdue blog post! Love to you all!

    1. I'm so glad to know your book arrived, Jana! Dear Heavenly Father, Even your name suggests that you care about fathers. Lord, we know you have the whole world in your hands, and we are lifting up Jana's family's disappointment about one person missing at the service. Help them to not focus on what is not given, but what is given so they will not miss a single blessing that you have for them in this service and special time to honor Jana's father-in-law. Use everything about it to aid in the growth of her sons' walk with you, and may Jana's husband have a special touch from you toward patience, Lord. We need you, Lord. All of our hope is in you, Amen.

  6. Please Pray for my Mom. She collapsed at work yesterday and is in the hospital now. Pray for the medical staff and that God will provide them with the wisdom and patience needed for a positive recovery. Pray for my Dad who is standing beside my mom through it all. I live over 600 miles away and wish I could be with her. It's hurting me that I can not. Comforting her with Prayer is the best thing I can do. Thank You and God Bless - Alison

  7. Oh, Alison, I know you're hurt that you cannot be with them right now. Loving Lord, we live up Alison's parents to you. Guide the doctors to determine what is going on and why her dad collapsed yesterday that he may get the treatment he needs to be restored. We praise You today for his life, and that he is right where he needs to be today to get your God-ordained help. We thank you for his loyal wife who is right at his side. Help her and her husband to know your abiding presence is with them right there in the hospital, and for Alison's dad to be able to rest. Help Alison know that she can do the very best gift for them by praying to You on their behalf. Amen
