Many of you know that Elisabeth Elliot, her husband, Lars, and their helper, Rosalyn (Rosalyn has such a servant's heart!) came for the weekend to stay with us. We just couldn't say goodbye, so they decided to stay longer and are still here (I'm writing this very late on Tuesday night; I should be in bed but I wouldn't be able to sleep anyway with my heart so full to the brim! We have been blessed beyond what I could ever dream or imagine (sound familiar? Ephesians 3:20)

"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen." ~Ephesians 3:20

I have SO many pictures and some video clips to show you of this precious time if they all come out good of Elisabeth, Valerie, Mary singing to Elisabeth (Mary corrected me and said singing to God for Elisabeth) enjoying Rosalyn, Lars, our fun meals and more! Best of all, just lots of time together. So much to tell you!  

Coming sometime after this weekend  because I have a speaking engagement, teaching much of what Elisabeth taught me! (Yikes! I may do a lot of blogs stemming from her visit, it is just too good for only one or two :-)

  1. Thank you for praying for my sons who went on a mission trip to Dominican Republic last week. They are home safely & sensed God's leading while they were there. Praising God for our time with Elisabeth Elliot , her husband, & her sweet helper. Pray for a safe trip as they head home tomorrow after 5 glorious days of having them in our home, & for God's comfort for Mary who's been very teary privately about them leaving:-)

  3. Ephesians 3:20 is my favorite verse, so I pray this prayer over my 16yo son, Cameron. We also prayed for his heart last week. I am not sure what is going on with him, but he has a rebellious spirit. Thank you so much for your prayers, they are greatly appreciated!

    Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably MORE than ALL I can even think to ask for or even imagine!

The picture of you giving her a kiss is just precious!! So beautiful. Thank you for sharing these photos and your time with her.

    1. Hi Gretchen! I love your blog title of "Whispers to the Heart." Even that reminds me of dear Elisabeth Elliot, because she always said to "keep a quiet heart." I have a lot more pictures and posts that are coming out of having her stay with us for 5 glorious days. I'm exhausted but filled with joy. I told my husband this must be what it feels like the day after one of your children marries!

  5. Please pray that my husband and I would be able to get pregnant. We have one beautiful, amazing little girl and am longing to give her a brother or sister. We tried for a long time before getting pregnant the first time. I'm in my late 30's so I feel like time is running out. Thank you so very much for all your prayers.

    1. Loving Lord and Heavenly Father, I lift April and her mother's heart up to you right now. Lord, You know the desires of her heart and her longing for a 2nd child. You want us to come to you with our requests for you long to hear from us. Forgive me Lord that I am typing while my Bible and prayer time is waiting for me at the table. Thank you for your grace and mercy Lord. Lord, we ask for this second blessing for April. We love you Lord. We submit ourselves to your perfect will! Love Juana for April Lord, Amen.   7. Many Prayers needed...prayer for Salvation of my mother! This burdens my heart everyday! I will never give up but Satan does seem to know how to work his magic. My step-father also needs healing...several months ago he had to have several toes removed due to infection from lack of care and diabetic neglect. Since then, we've encountered a massive heart attack where the foot was on hold as open heart surgery was performed. Now he's back in the hospital as a result of complete bed rest for 8 weeks and has developed carpel tunnel in both hands and surgery is to be performed on Monday then again on the other hand 2 weeks from now. Both my mother and step father are un-believers...this I know must be all in God's will as salvation is drawing near! I have faith and believe in divine healing and we are not claiming anything else upon our family nor them!
    God's plan is there, we need prayer to keep us strong and faithful for what comes next is why God has done all this to begin with!
