YouTube Clip of My Daughter (blind). Enjoy.

I thought you would enjoy seeing the above clip.

I can't believe it's been a year ago this weekend that my daughter Mary, born blind, sang in the finals of a local "American-Idol-type" singing contest. Later this month, she'll be singing her first performance of "The Star Spangled Banner" at a sporting event. I'm trying to figure out how I can have my right hand on my heart while my left one is on the record button on my phone so I can post it later for you!

In March, she'll be accompanying me on a weekend spiritual retreat in which I will be the guest speaker on "Seeing God in Everything," and it's looking like she might be singing. ☺☺

Oh, the contest! Guess what? She won!

"And His disciples asked Him, 'Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he would be born blind ?' Jesus answered, 'It was neither that this man sinned, nor his parents ; but it was so that the works of God might be displayed in him. ' "
~John 9:2-3

  1. Wow, she has a beautiful voice! And that is a really tough song to sing. We saw the broadway musical in London for the first time this past summer and didn't realize that's where it orginated so it's in the same little theater it's been in for umpteen years.

  2. Hi Fawn! Thank you for your compliment for Mary. She just started voice lessons so she can be trained in classical music which will help her to improve as a singer. I'm so excited for her, and so thankful for her teacher already! That is so neat that you saw Les Mes in London! Heading over to your site, soon. Fellow Happy Wife, Juana (for those reading, Fawn is over at www.HappyWivesClub.com.....Check it out!)
